There is no way of getting around it. In order to do great things resources are usually necessary and this is no exception. Sending a child overeas is not the most expensive thing in the world but it certainly ranks up there.Â
Life insurance, health insurance, food, transportation, coordination and tracking, not to mention the infrastructure work of finding the host families, verifying they are safe and fit the correct profile, contacting immigration and local schools and ensuring documents are correctly set up and and local schools if involved are compliant. And of course there is accounting and reporting. It is no easy task and it requires resources. Some of this can be done by volunteers while some of it will just simply require money. So if you have any ideas on how we can obtain donations or volunteers please contact us at our email address or phone us. Here are some suggestions
- Contact your company and ask them to donate. We are a certified 501(c)(3) which means a donation can be tax deductable so this could benefit your company or yourself.Â
- Make your friend aware
- If you see somewhere we should be advertising let us know
- If you think of someone we should be in contact with please let us know
- Track us and ensure we are doing a good job of both reporting and performing over the the years. No better way to ensure this program continues.
